Abhas Project

The Abhas Prevention Project targets areas of society at high risk, equipping people with the necessary knowledge to avoid potentially exploitative situations and adopt preventive methods. It also tries to bring awareness among the general public so that they can keep their surrounding area safe.

To stop human trafficking, it is essential to raise awareness among the general public, particularly within communities that are at higher risk. No one willingly enters into exploitation; they are often trapped by deceit and false promises, and sometimes poverty plays a significant role.

Through the Abhas Project, we focus on areas of society where awareness is most needed, striving to reach as many people as possible. We engage with individuals both in person and through social media to educate them about the dangers and realities of human trafficking.

These awareness campaigns are delivered in collaboration with partners with a key presence within each community. We have, for example, partnered with local organisation including law enforcement, NGOs, police and media, as well as education institutions and students, which are integrated in the local community.

Our awareness campaign aims to create a ripple effect, allowing its impact to spread far and wide. Therefore, we select areas that are most receptive to it.

Target Areas

Educational Centre

Raising awareness about human trafficking in schools and colleges is crucial because young people are often targeted by traffickers. Educating students on the signs and dangers of trafficking empowers them to protect themselves and others, fostering a safer environment. Awareness programs also promote early intervention and encourage students to advocate against trafficking, contributing to a more informed and vigilant community.

Govt Institutions

We focus on collaborating with key government organizations, such as the police, women and child development departments, and child welfare committees, that are instrumental in the fight against human trafficking. By partnering with these organizations, we can leverage their resources and networks to spread awareness more effectively and reach vulnerable communities. Together, we aim to create a stronger, more informed response to combat this critical issue and protect those at risk.

Transit Area

Transit areas, such as bus stations, train stations, and airports, are critical points where traffickers often move their victims from one location to another. These areas are key spots for raising awareness because they serve as the main channels through which traffickers operate. Educating the public and staff in these transit hubs about the signs of human trafficking and the ways to report suspicious activities can be vital in disrupting trafficking networks and rescuing victims. Strengthening awareness and vigilance in transit areas is essential for preventing trafficking and protecting vulnerable individuals.

Public Awareness

Everyone should be aware of the reality and dangers of human trafficking, which is why Manobal frequently organizes public awareness programs. These initiatives aim to educate communities about this heinous crime, its warning signs, and ways to prevent it. By spreading knowledge and fostering vigilance, Manobal hopes to empower individuals to recognize potential risks and take action to protect themselves and others. Through collective awareness, we can work together to reduce the threat of human trafficking and create safer environments for all.

Impact

Our awareness campaigns are reaching thousands of people and making a positive difference to the environment, making the general public curious, reducing the risk to traffickers and increasing the safety of vulnerable people.
