We believe it starts with one.
There are 49.6 million trafficked victims globally and every life matters. We are changing the world around us by changing the people around each ONE!
WHO WE ARE
Manobal is actively engaged in anti-human trafficking efforts that encompass interception, reporting, rescue, rehabilitation, repatriation, and restoration. We offer round-the-clock assistance to individuals seeking liberation from the clutches of trafficking. Our operations are intelligence-driven, and we collaborate with law enforcement agencies to rescue victims of sex trafficking.
At Manobal, our mission is to provide unwavering support to survivors of sex trafficking throughout their journey to freedom. This support includes counseling, legal aid, and mentorship. We accompany survivors on their path to restoration and successful reintegration into society.
Furthermore, we are committed to empowering survivors to overcome their traumatic past and become influential advocates in shaping policies and raising public awareness.
Manobal was founded by Nirmala Walter, a dedicated social worker with over 15 years of experience in rescuing girls and women from brothels and sex trafficking networks in various parts of India. Her unyielding efforts have earned her recognition and awards from the Delhi Police for her instrumental role in combatting sex trafficking in Delhi, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
WHAT WE DO
— Prevention
Sex-trafficking today, is as dehumanising trade as slavery was 200 years ago. Victims caught in the clutches of the flesh trade endure countless physical, sexual, and psychological torments, leaving indelible scars on their minds. Our relentless efforts are aimed at preventing such unfathomable suffering.
— Rescue
We send our local investigators, identify victims, rescue from their captors, build effective cases, utilize technology and covert gear, and support law enforcement in operations.
— Rehabilitation
The rescued survivor needs mental, emotional and physical healing before starting a new life. We start the healing process as soon as the victim is rescued, through psychological counseling, emotional support and confidence building efforts.
— Reintegration
The survivors of sex trafficking must live with dignity and freedom again and that is the main purpose of reintegration. We prepare the survivors for mainstream life well before we send them to their new social circle or job.
— Repatriation
Most of our rescued victims are from across the border so we arrange for repatriation. We have tied up with social organisations in international locations and we advocate aftercare services too.
— Advocacy
We provide legal aid, client representation, and support for survivors during legal proceedings. We also bring to book the traffickers using the legal and criminal justice system in the country.
