International Women's Day
International Women’s Day was celebrated by Manobal at Mahila Chowki on Swami Shraddhanand Marg. It was an occasion for women who were once victims of human trafficking and are now involved in prostitution to join in the celebration. They observed the day with dignity and joy and also received hygiene kits as gifts. Manobal’s ongoing efforts play a crucial role in integrating these women into mainstream society, recognizing the importance of every life.

After enduring a seven-month-long ordeal, two more Ugandan women were finally repatriated.
Restored another life
A missing woman from Tamil Nadu became a victim of human trafficking, was taken to Delhi and sold into prostitution. After seven months, she was rescued by Manobal from the red light area and safely reunited with her family.

With the Manobal and intervention of Delhi Police, lives were saved, hope and freedom restored on the night of December 31, 2023. Mamta (name changed) who was forced into prostitution for about 7 months.

We wish to celebrate every festival with joy alongside our family and friends, sharing our happiness with them. Manobal’s mission is to support individuals ensnared in sex trafficking. Extend your hand to them during this festive season and bring a sense of pride and happiness into their lives. This is a small endeavor to integrate these individuals into the fabric of society.
As part of this endeavor, on October 22, Manobal and Delhi Police celebrated the festival of Dussehra with the victims of human trafficking on the premises of Kamla Market Police Station. During the event, various games were played, music was organised, and sweets were distributed to them. The Delhi Police also provided them with ration.
Vaping and Teenagers

On 26th Sep, That’s why an eye-opening session on ‘Vaping and Teenagers’ was recently conducted by Gaurav Gill, in collaboration with the District Child Protection Unit (IX) South West District, and supported by the Manobal Foundation.

The Art of Quick but Effective Counseling
After a human trafficking rescue, time becomes critical for survival. In that moment, survivors are emotionally and physically shattered, and it’s precisely when counseling becomes exceptionally important. Manobal organized a session on this topic in collaboration with SPID Organization.
On September 26, SPID hosted an enlightening session titled “The Art of Quick but Effective Counseling for Trafficking Survivors,” led by the compassionate Gaurav Gill.

On 16th Sep at Govt. School Bamoli an eye-opening session on ‘Vaping and Teenagers’ was recently conducted by Dr. Annie Theodore, in collaboration with the District Child Protection Unit (IX) South West District, and supported by the Manobal Foundation.

26 August 2023 This incident encapsulates unwavering determination, it took an astounding 70 days of relentless effort to secure the victim’s exit permit following their successful rescue. The culmination of these tireless endeavors marked not just the end of a prolonged period of suffering but also a testament to the strength of perseverance.

Peace walk against human trafficking in Old Delhi Area

On 30th July 2023, the World Day against Trafficking in Person, Manobal organized a powerful peace march in collaboration with Delhi Police and our partners. Together, we aim to raise awareness and combat this pressing issue that affects countless lives.
This peace walk served as a reminder that just as we commemorate 15th August as Independence Day for our nation’s freedom, we must also give equal importance to this day. Far too many people still endure the chains of slavery, trapped as victims of human trafficking. Let’s unite to break these chains and bring freedom to those suffering.
Through this awareness campaign, Manobal strives to reach out to all individuals who have experienced the horrors of human trafficking and are living in the shadows. We are committed to expanding our outreach, ensuring that every victim can easily access the help and support they need to reclaim their lives.

Awareness program at Government School
On 27th July 2023, an awareness program on Human Trafficking and Good Touch Bad Touch was organized at Government School S KV Shahbad  Mohammadpur. Manobal Foundation provided essential information to the children about human trafficking and good touch during the event. Approximately 400 children actively participated in this program, which was conducted by Sakhi One Stop Dada Dev. The Manobal Foundation played a crucial role in empowering and supporting the children throughout the event.
Two Uganda girls were rescued from Delhi

On 26th July, a rescue operation carried out by Manobal A New Beginning Foundation led to the successful liberation of two Ugandan girls from the clutches of human trafficking in Delhi.
The rescue operation was launched after the girls reached out to Manobal Foundation for help via Facebook Messenger. Manobal Foundation sought the help of Delhi Police and they understood the seriousness of the situation and showed promptness and successfully rescued these two girls from their appalling circumstances.
This achievement highlights the power of collective action in the fight against human trafficking. By coming together and working hand in hand, we can make a difference and rescue victims from the darkness they face.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in this rescue operation and commend the Delhi Police for their dedication. Their prompt response reaffirms our belief in the importance of such partnerships in safeguarding our communities and protecting the rights of the most vulnerable among us.

Back Home Safely
In our recent rescue operation on 15th June, we successfully brought 6 women from Punjab. Their well-being was our top priority, and we are overjoyed to inform you that two of these victims have expressed their desire to return to their homes.
Through the relentless efforts of our dedicated team and the invaluable support of Rehab Uganda, we have successfully facilitated the safe return of one victim to her home in Uganda. This accomplishment holds immense significance for the Manobal team, as we firmly believe in the value of every single life.
We are determined to continue our efforts to ensure the safe repatriation of the remaining woman. The journey toward healing and reunification is ongoing, and we remain committed to supporting these victims of human trafficking.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of this mission, from our team members to our partners and supporters. Your unwavering support and encouragement have played a vital role in this endeavor.

A session on combating human trafficking
Today, on June 20th, a session on combating human trafficking was organised at the South-West District Magistrate Office.
The event witnessed active participation from esteemed government officials and dedicated NGO workers, all committed to addressing this pressing concern. Kudos to the South-West Sakhi One Stop Center, Dadadev, for organising this crucial initiative!
This program aimed to raise awareness about the grave issue of human trafficking and provide effective solutions to prevent it.
The session, taken by Manobal, delved deep into the various facets of human trafficking, shedding light on its complexities and discussing ways to combat it effectively.
A special mention goes to our honorable Chief Guest, SDM Namgyal Angmo, for gracing the occasion. Her unwavering commitment to raising awareness against human trafficking is commendable. She emphasized the need to intensify the awareness campaign and assured her full support for this noble cause.

Manobal rescued six Ugandan women in, Punjab
Manobal rescued six Ugandan women in , Punjab on June 15th. The success of this rescue mission was inspired by a similar operation conducted in September of the previous year. Recently, a young woman trapped in sex trafficking in , Punjab reached out to Manobal via Facebook Messenger, seeking assistance to escape from the clutches of exploitation. She know about Manobal’s rescue operations through an article published by The Wire News in August 2022 and contacted us.
Taking this matter seriously, Manobal devised a rescue plan on June 15th. In collaboration with the Punjab Police, our team executed the rescue at 10:30 AM, discovering two young women who desired to leave that place.
During the rescue operation, the inability to find any passports was concerning. Subsequent investigation revealed that their passports were in the possession of their handler.
The next step involved apprehending the handler. Once the handler was apprehended, six more women were found in the handler’s flat, with four expressing their desire to escape from this dire situation. All the victims were taken to the police station. Regrettably, none of them had their passports.
Through diligent efforts by the Punjab Police, the passports were eventually recovered and returned to the victims. The repatriation process has now been initiated.

Today 10 June 2023, Manobal Foundation, held a special session focusing on hygiene and the legal rights of sex workers. We listened to their health concerns and empowered them with knowledge about their legal rights. 
These sessions had a profound positive impact, creating a safe space for open dialogue and raising awareness about the rights and well-being of sex workers. Together, let’s strive for a more inclusive and equitable society!
Girls Empowerment Project at Nirmal Chhaya Complex
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of a collaborative project by Manobal, Vihan, and Nirmalchhaya at the Nirmal Chhaya Complex.
Our mission is to empower the girls residing in the hostel by offering them skill development and livelihood opportunities, paving the way for their financial independence. 
Through this project, we’ll be providing training in various fields such as caregiver, retail and hospitality, data entry operation, as well as security and housekeeping. 
This initiative marks the first step towards building a brighter future for these young women, offering them a chance to transform their lives for the better. Together, let’s create a more empowered and inclusive society!
A mental health session at GB road area
A session on mental health was organized by MANOBAL and the Delhi Police in BG road brothel, Dr. Annie Theodore took that session and several women participated and benefited from it.
This small beginning of MANOBAL holds the potential to go a long way. While it may be fewer in number compared to the thousands, this initial step has been taken, and it has the capacity to save many lives in the future because every life matters.

Awareness campaign at Nizamuddin Railway station

An awareness campaign is a tool that has the potential to prevent untoward incidents before they happen. A live example of this has been seen today when a 16-year-old girl was saved at Nizamuddin railway station during an ongoing awareness campaign in the area. You can also save someone’s life by being aware of human trafficking; who knows they could be your own.

A 16-year-old girl was rescued

A 16-year-old girl was rescued today from being trafficked to Goa at the Nizamuddin Railway Station when the Abhas campaign was going on.​
​NGO​ ​Manobal Foundation ​today ​received a call that a minor girl has been ​found in distress ​ and is ​alone​. Upon asking the girl, we found that she is 16-year-old and was travelling to Goa without any guardian. She was under the influence of a close relative who was guiding her all along over the phone since the onset of her journey from her native home in Uttar Pradesh. Her parents had no clue about her whereabouts. She said, right before she deboarded the metro at the Nizamuddin station, she didn’t even realise when and how somebody stole her bag and purse which also contained her mobile phone, that’s when she lost contact with her handler. Manobal then immediately rescued her from the spot and handed her responsibility to the Childline booth at the railways station. She was left stranded for more than 24 hours at the railway station.

We had the privilege to apprise the Delhi Police officers about what all factors and early markers should be kept in mind when it comes to Mental health.

Also shared with them about a few non-verbal behaviors to watch out for; especially when they are investigating a potential suspect.

It was an enthralling session. It is always remarkable to work for Delhi Police Crime Branch as a team.

Celebrating international women's day

On 6 March Manobal celebrated International women’s day with those who are trapped in the darkness of prostitution. Around 50 women join the celebration it has been a joyful moment for us. We spent a meaningful full time with them and told them some inspirational talks.

A few words, a small gift, and a few moments spent can bring happiness in their life. Today again we experienced this when we celebrated International Women’s Day with these women in the red light area; His happiness was being created just by seeing it. This is the bridge that establishes a relationship between society and them. Which one day can lead them from darkness to light. This is the real celebration of International Women’s Day.

Awareness campaign at New Delhi Railway station

On 25 February under the Abhas project, Manobal organised an Awareness campaign at New Delhi Railway station.

We working on human trafficking awareness​ across Delhi​.​ Manobal, along with The Trafficking Files, run by two journalists, Pari Saikia and Rohit Upadhyay, has collaborated to run this much-needed ​campaign called #kNOwHumanTrafficking silent awareness for mass sensitisation.

This illegal act involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain labor or sex. Traffickers use violence, manipulation, or false promises to lure their victims into trafficking situations.

Trafficking victims usually experience physical and/or psychological abuse. They might also endure sexual abuse, food and sleep deprivation, threats to family members, and isolation from the outside world.

Let’s join hands to save lives, cause each life is a world on its own.

On 2nd December 2022, International Day for The Abolition of Slavery Monobal Foundation,Pari Saikia and Rohit Upadhay hosted a #kNOhumanTraffickingCampiaign at Connaught Place, New Delhi. The campaign raised awareness of human trafficking for commercial sex the modern slavery, and encouraged the public to be vigilant at home and the community.

14th Dec, 2022 evening was an evening that would be etched in the memories of Manobal A New Beginning Foundation and of valiant Police officers for long. We as Manobal celebrated joy of Christmas with valorous Police Officers, where the cold winter’s evening was sprinkled with warm chords and heartening music.
This was Manobal’s way of expressing gratitude to Police Force for timelessly serving the society. We were graced with August presence of Delhi Police Assistant Commissioner, S.H.O. Sub-Inspector and other police officers. Officers were so moved with the spirit of the evening that they couldn’t hold themselves back from holding the mic and singing a song or two. Everyone in the audience were swaying to the festivity’s vibe. We received an overwhelming response to our gesture.
Returned home safely

On 11th Aug, 2022 Manobal received information that a woman from Uganda was being forced into prostitution. She was called to India by her acquaintance on the pretext of procuring a job for herself at an Indian shop, however she was eventually trapped into vicious cycle of sex trafficking. Manobal acted swiftly, rescued the woman and ensured that an F.I. R was lodged in that case. The victim was 25 years old woman. She was also provided with a safe shelter for her interim stay. She was counselled during her stay to ensure that she would not get re-trafficked. Manobal got in touch with Rehab Uganda and ensured that the victim was safely repatriated back to her county. She has flown back to her country and her rehabilitation process has begun in Uganda. The victim is elated with joy to reunite with her family and extends her wishes and gratitude to Manobal for saving and restoring her life and happiness unto her.

Diwali celebration

More than 50 women from Sadanand Marg Red Light area participated in this event and celebrated Diwali. All the women expressed their happiness by decorating the premises of the police station with Rangoli and Diyas. The event received full support from Delhi Police and Sukhmanch Theatre.

Manobal supporting partner with The Moment India. Walk for Freedom is the world’s largest walk to raise awareness about human trafficking, organised globally by the non-profit @A21 and co-hosted in India by The Movement India. Join thousands across 500+ cities in 50+ countries this 15th October rising up to end slavery in our lifetime.

Hence on 7th October 2022 Manobal Ngo along with Delhi Police Crime Branch Anti Human Trafficking Unit AHTU and Pune Police conducted a joint rescue operation in Pune, Maharasthra.
Executing the operation in wee hours was a daunting task, especially when the missing person was located in a treacherous area.
It was a successful rescue operation.
